Wanted so much for you to win the role of Elle Woods, but am so happy for you and the opportunities you've received. Didn't think I could handle Bailey replacing Laura Bell (to me the epitome of Elle), but having read and seen some interviews (and your kudos) I think she is a good match and will do well. Autumn, you are an incredible talent. I watched the Legally Blonde show on MTV just to see you perform and be true to yourself - your genuine nature shines through. I spent some time in NYC at MTV in college and know how cut-throat that town can be. I agree with Cherie, you ARE Elle Woods. What made Elle - Elle was her spunk and her undeniable honesty. You embodied that and more. You are versatile and you will go far on Broadway. I plan to come up to NYC for a showing of Legally Blonde sometime in September or October with my 6 year old daughter. I am the Associate Head Writer of "The Young and the Restless" and the new CW show "Privileged" is an adaptation of a novel I wrote (under the name Zoey Dean). Against my better judgement, I got sucked into the "Legally Blonde" reality show. They picked the wrong girl when they picked Baileyl. Not only is your voice superior, so is your acting, and the depth you brought/bring to the role. Yeah, the dancing needed work, but that is not not a big deal. I cannot tell you what an inspiration you are to me. Being someone who has fallen in love with Legally Blonde and told she could never play the part because of her hair color, you not only proved to everyone here how wrong that is, but you showed me that you really can do anything you set your mind to, even if it involves coloring your hair (ps: why was that needed when they wigged you?).
My friends and I watched the show every week and I always favored you, not just for your brunette hair, but also your triple threat talents. I knew when they got down to the final two, they had definitely chosen the two most talented performers on the show!

So, I guess long story short, thank you for being you. You've truly been an inspiration for brunette performers who wish they could see if Blondes have more fun! :)

Autumn, your voice is so amazing. The first time I heard you sing I thought immediately of Belle on Beauty and the Beast! I'm from Europe, we didn't even have the show on TV, I saw it on the internet and that didn't work all the time.
So i spent the last week in NY for vacation and I didn't know who made it (I only knew the last four) and was so hoping to see you there!
A little disappointed I saw that you didn't win the show, but that you actually were in the show too was a huge surprise and my sister and I cheered for you as loud as we could! Because we enjoyed it so much we went to get tickets for a second time and you just SO belong to Broadway. Congratulations, you really deserve it!

I'm so glad you were offered and took the chance to be part of Legally Blonde. Your voice belongs on that stage. I am a high school theatre arts teacher. One of my former students has been on Broadway and has toured Broadway productions. He is always the understudy - never the lead. Why? Because his voice is needed in the ensemble. Hey Autumn !
I was at the August 3rd 7 p.m. show(2008) ! And afterwards, I waited outside to get autographs ! When I saw you pop out of the Delta Nu window in "Omigod you guys!' I totally freaked out ! I was with my dad and was like "Omigoshh ! It's Autumn from 'Search For Elle Woods ! She was amazing on the show !" After the show when I saw you getting closer down the line to where I was standing when you were signing, I was so excited that I would actually get to see you in person. When it came to be my turn for you to sign, it was so cool, because I was so used to seeing you on t.v. and looking you straight in the eye was just an amazing experience. I was just so happy that I got to see you and I think you made a great addition to the 'Legally Blonde The Musical' cast !

I can't help but say that I was disappointed when Bailey won the competition in the end, because from the first day I thought that you had the best voice and were the most talented. I am sooooo relieved though now to know that you actually did get to be a part of the show! From what MTV showed of everyone, you seemed the sweetest, funniest, realest person there. AUTUMN!!!! I feel like I know you !!! I watched every episode of mtv's Legally blonde! I was rooting for you the whole time!! You were and are incredible!! Congrats on everything you've accomplished. I am a "MUSICAL JUNKIE" I have not stopped listening to Legally Blonde: The Musical since I started watching it on MTV.
I also just have a couple of questions for you. I would really like to know what your personal journey was and what brought you to this point. When did you know you wanted to be on Broadway? When did you start taking voice lessons? Were there any tricks you learned when first starting singing lessons that helped you learn how to sing right? I am 25 and have known since I was little that I wanted to be on Broadway, or any musical in any venue for that matter!! I unfortunately lost a lot of confindence and self esteem in high school and didn't pursue my dream. So here I am 25 and starting singing lessons again. But I've decided that its never to late to be what you were meant to become.
Anyway, this has become a super long email!! sorry!! I just wanted to take the opportunity to ask a professional some advice and you seem soooo down to earth and sweet!!! So thanks in advance for any help/advice you can give!!

Hey! I just discovered you are in the cast of Legally Blonde after all and i was so happy. I have to thank you for proving to my culturally snobby self that muscials take just as much work (and even more physical endurance!) as straight plays. Hey! after watching you on a certain MTV reality show with a whole lot of pink, my appreciation for the hard work of musical theatre grew tenfold. i'm a total theatre nerd, but have generally been skeptical of musicals just because it always seemed like the focus wasn't on acting and character development the way straight plays are. Thank you for freaking proving me wrong! I witnessed how hard you specically worked (not to mention your acting was insanely good) and had to get off my high horse. Thank you for doing theatre justice!

Autumn:

CONGRATULATIONS!! Girl, you are now "in the club". When the final episode of the MTV show aired and Bailey was announced as the "winner", my heart just broke for you! BUT, reading the next day that you were cast in the show AND the u/s for Elle, I was SO relieved!!

I finally left the business at age 31 after doing endless regional productions, tours and workshops. I'm 5'6 with red hair - and I finally realized that you can only play Barnaby Tucker in "Hello, Dolly!" so many times. My closest shot to B'way was being "on file" for "Grand Hotel" - I was fitted for the costumes and I just had to wait for one of the guys who played the bellhops to leave the show (AS IF some guy who is under 5'7" is EVER going to leave a Broadway show). The show closed before I had the chance to be part of it.

I never take for granted the fun I had as a performer and the power that applause and the audience laughing on cue can bring - BUT I could really empathize with you during those last moments on MTV - (being 27-28 and STILL waiting for Broadway to happen) I was totally depressed!

Although you said it yourself - there are no guarantees of getting another Broadway show- I'm sure it will happen for you MANY times over! Your voice is an incredible gift! Enjoy yourself at EVERY performance! I'll be following your next steps (not stalking!! - and I've NEVER written a "fan letter" before). Hopefully my partner and I will see you in a show when it reaches LA or when we are visiting NYC.

One more thing - I was the understudy just once - and I know what it feels like to say "when am I EVER going on" - but don't go there! Enjoy the moment that you are in - don't project the future and miss the present!

'Snaps'!, Autumn, I think you're voice is absolutely amazing and i feel sometimes the judges in the MTV show did not appreciate it but instead focused on the "look" of Elle Woods. However, I know with your acting and vocal abilities you will go as far as your dreams and talents will take you. You made me cry when you sang 'just let me be...legally blonde..' in the finally.
